Bigger does NOT mean better!
Our golden Bailey attended
another daycare several
times a week, yet no one
seemed to know who we
were, and it just never felt
quite
right to us. At the
advice of several of our
friends, we decided to check
out
My Doggies Daycare.
From the minute we walked
in the door we could sense
the friendly, caring
atmosphere.
All of the staff
were smiling, and they
greeted us immediately.
After Bailey's first day at
MDD we never looked back.
He is so excited to go there
that we can barely restrain
him when we're getting out
of the car. We're always
advised of how much he
played or napped or if he
made new friends. You even discovered an ear infection
that had completely escaped
our notice!

We want to thank all of you
who care for our Alfie, and
especially all of you who
cared for him during our
recent 2 week vacation!
We've never had such peace
of mind or confidence before,
that our pet was "just fine" or
"having fun & getting lots of
exercise" while we were gone.
We came back to find him
happy, healthy, & apparently
mentally healthy as well. He
wasn't mad at us a bit!
(As we had feared.)
In fact, we're convinced he
thinks we let him stay at
Disneyland for 2 weeks!
Seriously, if we didn't have
such trust and confidence
in all of you, we may not
have been able to have this
vacation (it's been years
since
we've been able to be
away
this long).

My husband, Riley and I
owe
you a big "thanks" for
catching
a problem
area
with Riley
Roo's teeth.
At his last appointment,
Lindsey withCreature
Comforts
Dentistry
noticed his bottom
front
teeth were sensitive
to the
point where she could
not do a thorough cleaning.
Lindsey made time out of
the busy Saturday schedule
to tell to me what was
going on with his teeth,
counsel me to get him to
our vet, and explain the
most likely course of
action
he would take.
Thank goodness she did!
By Monday afternoon,
our vet was showing us
the irregularities on
Riley's x-rays; with his
jawbone and the way his
lower teeth had grown in.
As a result, he pulled
three teeth and we will
be keeping a close eye
on Riley's teeth and jaw
every six months now.
Our vet praised Lindsey
for her knowledge and
sound counsel. We are
tremendously grateful
to her professionalism
and to MDD for partnering
with such a reputable,
caring canine dental
hygenist. Thank you for
the love and care you
give not only to our
little Riley Roo but to
my husband and I.

Kacey, the Therapy Dog
Here is a picture of my
new hero...Kacey the
therapy dog. She had her
first day at CHOC Children’s
Hospital of Orange County.
Kacey was quite nervous at
first (probably it was me
transferring the nervous
energy) but she settled in.
She did her thing with her
eyes (they all say she just
looks at them and they
know she is really looking
closely at them) and
wanting to shake everyone's
hand.
In one room there was this
young boy, maybe 10 or so.
He had cancer and he looked
pretty worn out. He had been
there for many weeks. He
looked at Kacey and was just
lying there and petting her
head a bit while she had her
head on the bed side.
Then his mom read the back
of Kacey's bio card (all the
dogs get one that tells a bit
about them and has their
picture on it as a memento)
and she said, "Well look
Michael, Kacey is like you,
she is a VERY picky eater !"
He just perked right up and
said, "You are like me? You
don’t feel like eating
sometimes either huh?"
Then he got out of bed and
got on the floor beside her
and shook her hand saying,
"I am glad to meet you Kacey".
He gave her an few hugs and
in return Kacey just leaned
over and rubbed her head
against his skinny worn
down little body.
The nurse and his mom had
a few tears. She said they
can never get him out of
the bed.
I guess that is what it's all
about. Funny how it just
happens. She is quite a dog.
I guess she just has an instinct
for it. After she is done
shaking hands she does
her beg thing...sits on her
back legs and just leans
back...no treats or anything.
(Quite the little kiss up!)
So it was a rewarding day.
Must have been the great
bath she had at MDD before
I picked her up to go to CHOC.

Dear MDD,
Oh my gosh, I'm glad you
sent this survey. I loved
your facility AND staff.
Pilar was exceptionally
welcoming, knowledgeable
and accomodating and
actually knew the dogs
playing that day. Dena, a
trainer, came out and
welcomed me also and
took the time to talk with
me. The sweet girl at the
front desk was also very
friendly and knowledgeable.
I won't go anywhere else in
the future. You guys are
wonderful!!! Thank you so
much!
