Overnight Boarding
It can be stressful choosing the right facility for your dog while you are away. It can also be stressful for your dog to be in a new environment. We want both of you to be completely comfortable with our facility and services before purchasing a pass or reserving space for boarding.
That's why we give the 1st day of daycare for FREE!
This free day must be used prior to boarding and is not applicable towards a boarding stay. The purpose of bringing your pup to daycare before boarding is to help familiarize him/her with our staff and the other dogs, and encourage a stress free visit when they come back to board overnight. We believe in this practice so strongly – that we are willing to give you this day for free!
On this first day we gently and carefully introduce your pup into “the pack”. Whether it be the small dog room or the big dog room – or goal is to ensure a non-threatening experience where your dog will be curious rather than overwhelmed. We will monitor his/her activities throughout the day, and give you a complete report upon pick-up. You may decide then or later if you would like to reserve space for boarding.
Getting started
We will need to give your pooch a "canine temperment test" before their free day to determine their disposition. (All of the dogs at our facility go thru this same test; parents can be assured that we have not admitted agressive dogs and/or extremely anxious dogs into the pack.)
At this time we will also ask you to
complete the following paperwork:
(you may print and complete these forms now and either
bring
with you or fax to us at 949.709.4800)
MDD Client
Application
MDD Pet Profile
MDD Standard Agreement
You must also provide proof of the following vaccines:
Distemper/Parvo (DHLPP)
Bordatella
Rabies
Puppies must have their 2nd set of booster shots, and all dogs must be spayed or neutered by 7 months.
We conduct these interviews 7 days a week, mornings and afternoons, whenever it's convenient for YOU! Just call now to schedule a time; the whole process takes just 15-30 minutes. You are welcome to tour our facility at this time, meet some of our staff, and voice any questions or concerns you may have regarding My Doggies Daycare.
Ready to board your dog?
Please be sure to call ahead to reserve his spot, as our spaces fill up quickly. Unlike many boarding facilities, your canine friend will be out in our large daycare area playing
all day. No need to pay extra for "walks" or the "play room".
When it's time to rest, the dogs will stay in their designated dens in our kennel area. Our nightly turn-down service includes a luxurious cedar-filled doggie bed with a stainless steel water bowl, and their own special toys and treats arranged on their bedding. In addition, we set the mood for relaxation with special music designed to lull them to sleep.
Safety & Well-Being
While our dens are comfortable, they are only used for feeding, digesting and sleeping. The majority of your pets stay will be spent in our group play areas, which are continually supervised and monitored. Our staff are hand-picked dog lovers, trained in pet first aid and CPR. To further ensure your dogs well being, veterinarians are always on call.
DoggieCams enable you to check on your dogs well-being. They operate from
10am-3pm, every day Monday through Saturday. (Our clients love these -
they say it's absolutely a thrill getting to watch their dog have so much fun!)
Our goal is always to provide superior care and personalized attention, making
My Doggies Daycare your pets "home away from home"..
What to bring for your pets stay
We supply most everything your dog will need to make for a pleasant experience! We have bedding, food, bowls, toys and treats. For familiarity, you may want to consider leaving a "gently worn" t-shirt or towel. Many dogs find it comforting to have a familiar smell from home.
All items must be clearly labeled in permenant marker with your dog's name and your last name. Large beds, comforters, quilts, and bowls will be returned at check-in as our storage space is extremely limited. Treats such as rawhides or bones and/or toys that may prove dangerous will also be returned.
(Please be aware that we cannot guarantee the return of any personal items. If your furry friend really loves it, don't bring it!)
Be sure to include dog food
We have found that dogs may have gastric difficulties when changing their diet, so we do ask that you bring your own food. We have a microwave and a refrigerator to suit any special needs. Our guests are fed according to owner instructions.
Please package any dry food in individually bagged meals and bring an amount sufficient for the stay (plus some extra in case your return is delayed). If we run out of food, we will utilize Science Diet, Sensitive Stomach for an additional fee.
Can dogs room together?
Certainly! Dogs from the same family may share a kennel if they are able to sleep together without argument or need for direct supervision. The $10 overnight
fee applies to the kennel(s) used - not the number of dogs. Up to three dogs may stay in the same kennel for only $10 per night (plus applicable daycare fees).
Dogs on medication
We have no problem administering medications and will do so in accordance with your instructions at no extra charge. Please label medications as to type and dosage. Advise us prior to check-in if your dog will be taking medications while in our care.
Will dogs receive a bath? What is the cost?
We offer a complimentary bath after a 6 night stay. If the dog is matted, or extremely large there may be a small fee - but we will advise you at time of drop off.
For stays of less than 6 nights, we offer luxury baths which include citrus and oatmeal shampoos, aloe conditioners, nail trimming and filing, teeth brushing, ear care, brush-outs, trimming hair between pads and hygiene areas - even a full grooming with hand clipping or shave down if you desire.
We encourage clients to schedule these services at the end of their dog's stay, since playing in a "pack" can result in his/her being a bit dirty! The cost will vary depending on the dog's size, length and condition of the coat, and overall time needed to complete the service. See Services & Rates for more information.
Business hours, drop-off and pick-up times
Monday - Friday: 7:00am - 6:30pm
Saturday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Sunday for boarding drop-off and pick-up only: 8:00am - 11:00am; 2:00pm - 6:00pm
Our business hours are designed for the comfort and health our guests. After playing all day, we allow the dogs to rest at night without outside interruption. This is a crucial part of maintaining a low stress environment.
Although we allow drop off as late as our closing time, we ask that if at all possible to bring your dog earlier so that he/she can have a little play time. They are usually very excited to see their friends, and it will give us the opportunity to wear your dog out a little before bedtime!
You can avoid daycare charges by following these guidelines:
Drop off your dog after 5pm, Monday thru Friday
–or- 4pm on Saturday/Sunday,
and there is no charge for daycare on that day.
Pick up your dog before 9am, Monday thru Sunday,
and there is no charge for daycare on that day.
However, please note, regardless of drop off or pick up times,
there is always a minimum charge of $33 for a dog staying overnight
(half day of daycare plus overnight fee = $33)
